Description

Shirley Neighbourhood Care Scheme are a non-profit charity operating in the Shirley, Croydon region offering services to the sick and elderly within the local area. 

The Care scheme is part of the larger Croydon Neighbourhood Care Association. First setup in the 1970's by a group of local churches with the idea of helping the local community, Shirley Neighbourhood Care is now a registered charity and able to provide help and assistance to many sick and elderly people in the Shirley area.

Some of the assistance provided includes:
* Transport to and from GPs, clinic, dental, optician and hospital appointments
* A regular shopping bus including assistance with shopping bags
* Prescription collection
* Visiting the sick, disabled and housebound
* Regular lunch clubs, including a range of activities, games, musical concerts and talk

The Centre is open 10.00 am - 3.00 pm, Mondays -Thursdays, 10.00 am -12.30pm on Fridays.
