Pocklington’s resource centre in Balham, which will soon be the base for Wandsworth Vision, primarily serves the residents of Wandsworth and offers a variety of activities and services to adults of all ages with sight loss.



What we do

We offer a wide range of courses and Centre-based activities, as well as providing drop-in help and advice by appointment. We also have a busy social events and outings programme and run a number of volunteer led services.

  • Information technology – to learn the basic skills required for using standard software, surfing the net and working with assistive technology for PC and smart phone
  • Arts and crafts
  • Sewing classes
  • Safe and healthy cooking
  • Tai Chi – learn how to de-stress using Tai Chi and Chi Kung movements
  • Yoga – catering for all abilities, this taster session will give you a chance to explore a range of techniques
  • Over-50s social afternoon
  • Games and Quiz afternoon
  • Fish ‘n’ chip Friday social
  • Tae Kwando
  • Book club
  • Talking magazine
  • At home befriending
  • Usage of the on site IT suite

- Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm, plus some evening classes
- Weekly social group for older people on Thursday from 2-4pm
