The Imagination Cafe, 21st May 2019, 10:30 to 12:30 at The Honours bar, Charles Stanley Stand, The Twickenham Stoop, Langhorn Dtive, TW2 7SX
The Imagination Cafe at The Stoop is a pop-up event for people with dementia, their partners and carers. The Imagination Café aims to spread the word about creative approaches to dementia care, and offers refreshments, art activities, music and rugby memorabilia, all designed for people living with dementia.
Although it has a focus on dementia it will very much be an open space for older people to socialise and reminisce.
The Imagination Café welcomes the public, especially those with dementia and their partners and carers, offering specially designed activities for those with dementia including visual art, archive object handling, music, intergenerational storytelling, and drama – devised by Professor Victoria Tischler, Head of Dementia Care Centre at University of West London, and underpinned by 'Dementia and Imagination' research undertaken by she and colleagues at the Universities of Bangor, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Manchester Metropolitan.
Details of who to contact and how to book a place will be available soon.
